Time to surrender

When it’s time to surrender

You’ve heard the song ‘let it go, let it goooooooo’. Thats one thing I find hard if my plans are scuppered.

Elsa Frozen Disney

Life can sometimes feel like a roller coaster, throwing us up and down and making us feel lost and powerless.

Frustration can come from ‘the bloody weather’ ruining best laid plans. Or you were just about to set off, on time, for a mini break and ‘the car won’t start’.

So we have to change the plan or accept what we wanted to happen now won’t or at least not today.

Change can be overwhelming, but how we handle the chaos shapes where we end up. Imagine our journey through life as a quest, exploring the power of surrender to help us face challenges with a new perspective.

Surrender isn’t about giving up; it’s a way to find strength and peace in the middle of life’s unpredictability.

Find Strength in Surrendering

When things go wrong, we might feel like giving up, leading to sadness and loss of motivation. But surrender is a choice we make to accept life’s ups and downs. It’s like letting go of the need to control everything, opening the door to better outcomes. Choosing surrender makes us feel more peaceful and helps us see the bigger picture.

Dealing with problematic and stressful times

Surrender can be a bit scary, especially when we’re feeling really down. Sometimes, we put all our energy into our dreams and forget that problems might pop up. If things don’t go as planned, we might dwell on what went wrong and worry about the future. But surrender gives us a way out of this cycle.

The Gift of Surrender

Surrender isn’t giving up; it’s realising we’ve done our best, and we can’t control everything. It’s like setting ourselves free from always trying to fix everything. Surrender gives us a chance at better outcomes and makes us feel more peaceful.

Surrendering Step by Step

Moving from feeling disappointed to accepting things, and finally surrendering, is like taking small, thoughtful steps:

  1. Be kind to yourself.
  2. Try to accept what’s happening.
  3. Look at things without being too hard on yourself.
  4. Express your feelings in a safe way.
  5. Use your strengths to move forward.
  6. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
  7. Remember, reaching your goals might take time.
  8. Know that you’ll be okay, and your experiences don’t define you.
  9. See disappointments as chances to learn and grow.

In Conclusion

When we surrender, we acknowledge that we cannot control every outcome.

Life’s challenges are part of the journey, and how we deal with them shapes our outlook. Surrender, far from giving up, helps us let go of control and find hope in uncertain times. It’s like a path to finding strength and a brighter future. Embrace surrender, and may your life be full of peace and joy.
